What is a nose job?
Rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure to decorate the nose that may not look beautiful, dimensional, or in the right proportions. It is done to make a small, flat, upturned or short nose more prominent. In addition to being beautiful, rhinoplasty can also be done to correct a deformed nose or a nose damaged by an accident or severe impact, or to correct breathing problems and congenital defects. Various materials are used to enhance the nose, such as cartilage in various areas, dermis, synthetic silicone materials, Gore-Tex, and pore beads.

Common problems after rhinoplasty for men
What are some of the problems with men's noses that should make them decide to get a nose job?
– Hump nose (Hump) can be
observed from the bridge of the nose. It is not smooth and has a turtle-like bone. Some people have a very high hump, which makes the nose even more crooked. It is often found together with a hooked nose tip, making the face look older or too fierce.
– A hooked nose is shaped like a bow, with a long nose shape but a downward curve at the tip.
– The nose has a large tip, a lot of flesh, or a pink shape, with thick, large nasal flesh.
How to choose a nose shape
1. When choosing a nose shape, you should consider making the nose as balanced as possible with your face.
2. The nose should fit your forehead. People with high foreheads can get high silicone implants, which will be a perfect fit.
3. Choose certified silicone to reduce the risk of allergic reactions for safety.
4. To increase your self-confidence, make your face more dimensional, and be clearly more beautiful.
5. Choose a doctor who is an expert, uses safe, quality materials, and after the nose job, there should be no problems.
6. Choose a clinic or hospital that has a license from the Ministry of Public Health, which has been properly certified.
Open rhinoplasty
Closed Rhinoplasty
Who is suitable for open rhinoplasty?
– Those with a large nose tip who want to surgically correct the large nose tip to make it smaller.
– Open rhinoplasty to lengthen the nasal septum to make the tip longer.
– Open rhinoplasty in cases where the patient has very hard, tight nasal tissue. Silicone augmentation cannot push the nose to be high and pointed.
– Open rhinoplasty that wants to correct abnormalities of the nostrils, such as when looking straight ahead, the nostrils are clearly large. Surgery to make the nostrils look downward or smaller.
– Open rhinoplasty in cases where the nose needs to be corrected has more complex problems than rhinoplasty using only silicone.
– Using the open rhinoplasty technique in cases where people have had their noses reshaped many times but their noses are still crooked.
– Open rhinoplasty for people who want to have a long, high, and pointed nose tip.
Preparation before rhinoplasty
Self-care after rhinoplasty surgery
1. Apply cold compresses immediately after surgery for 48 hours continuously.
2. Sleep with your head elevated or sit up for 48 hours and be aware that swelling to the point where your eyes close for the first 3-4 days is normal. During the first 7 days, you do not need to worry about the shape of your nose because the swelling is still so severe that you cannot know the true shape of your nose. The duration of swelling and bruising will vary from person to person, between 4-14 days. You should not look in the mirror to assess the shape of your nose during the initial period.
3. Do not let the surgical wound get wet for 7 days.
4. Avoid dust that causes allergies. If you have a runny nose, take antihistamines immediately. Avoid coughing, sneezing, and blowing your nose.
5. After taking all the prescribed medication, do not buy more. You can only take paracetamol.
6. During the first 3-4 days, patients may experience pus or light blood oozing from the wound. Use a cotton swab to gently absorb it and apply Betadine lightly to the area where the pus is oozing.
7. If you have severe pain or unusually large amounts of fresh blood, consult a doctor immediately.
